Ministry of Education Awards ‘Commitment To Excellence’

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 18 , 2013 (SKNIS):Education week culminated with an awards ceremony on Saturday (Saturday 17) which celebrated the efforts, performance, achievements [and commitment to excellence] of persons described by Minister of Education Nigel Carty as “some of our nation’s greatest educators.”

Minister Carty stated that he believes that “it is the core of the human spirit and not so much the raw talent that makes him or her extraordinary.”

He added that the awardees who were honoured during this 30th Anniversary of Independence “speaks volumes of the height of recognition which has been attached to their work and commitment.”

Awards given included The Ministry of Education Long Service Award, The Minister’s Certificate of Appreciation, Posthumous, Retired Employee, Education Partners Awards and The Minister’s Recognition of Employees Excellence Award.
