Ministry Of Public Infrastructure, Utilities, Post And Urban Development Presents Awards To Retired Shut Ins

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 7th 2021 (ZIZ News) A few weeks following an awards ceremony which was held to recognize retirees from the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Utilities, Post and Urban Development, officials from the Ministry Led by Hon. Shawn Richards visited two persons who were unable to attend the ceremony.

The first stop was Ponds Pasture at the residence of Vernon Thibou who worked as a Security Officer at the Public Works Department for four years.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Darryl Lloyd thanked him for his years of service and wished him the best on his retirement.

The Ministry officials then travelled to The Grange in Ottleys where James Thomas of Saddlers who worked as postman for 24 years now resides.

Minister of Public Infrastructure, Utilities, Posts and Urban Development Hon. Shawn Richards spoke of the significance of the work Mr. Thomas did as a Postal worker.

Mr. Thomas expressed gratitude and noted that he enjoyed the postal work he performed for over two decades.

On March 13th The Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Utilities Post and Urban Development held a ceremony honour fifty of its retirees for their years of service to the ministry.
