Money Laundering charge brought against a Nevis resident

ZIZ News…Jan 21, 2013 — The police have brought charges against a Nevis resident for Money Laundering.

This was among the many charges brought against a number of persons who violated the laws of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Geoffrey Romney of Prospect Estate Nevis was formally charged for the offence of Money Laundering which was committed between the period of April 2nd 2008 and April 10th 2012.

Meanwhile in other Police News…Rickey Wattley of Lodge Village was formally charged for Malicious Damage which was committed on 14/01/13 and Jackesha Richards and Ivette Richards of Irishtown Bay Road were formally charged for Malicious Damage which was committed on 16/1/2013.

Leroy Browne alias Charlie Wong of Buckleys Estate was formally charged for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny which was committed between 14th and 15th January,2013 and a juvenile was formally charged for the offence of Threatening Language which was committed on 15-1-13 at Sandy Point.

And in the District B Magistrate Court George Dickenson of Molyneaux was convicted on various traffic violations. The offences are taking without the consent of the owner, Driving without due care and attention and Driving without a valid licence. The offences were committed on 20/10/12 at White Gate, St Paul Village. He was sentenced as follows: Taking without the consent of the owner he was fined $600.00, Driving without due care and attention he was fined $400.00, and Driving without a valid licence he was fined $400.00, and the total sum must be paid by 31/1/13 or in default he serve 30 days in prison.
