Mother and son charged in Medical Student’s attack

(ZIZ) Itasha Dellisser of Shaw’s Road, New Castle, mother of Shane Dwayne Oliver Shorter of the same address, the defendant who was charged with attempted murder and burglary which were committed on Tuesday 1st October 2013, was herself charged with accessory after the fact for attempted murder and accessory after the fact for burglary.

Dellisser is alleged to have been informed of what transpired between Shorter and the medical university student and allegedly facilitated his attempt to evade detection through departure for Jamaica at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport where he was apprehended by detectives from the Violent Crime Unit. The investigation is still ongoing and persons with information regarding this case are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477.
