Mother Isaac Celebrates Her 100th Birthday

(ZIZ)– Louise Isaac, affectionately known as Mother Isaac, born 15th February 1914, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate with Mother Isaac during a church service held in her honour on Sunday.

Standing proudly, Mother Isaac read a poem in response to the tributes, remarks and congratulations.

It read in part, “I’m not growing old. They say that I am growing old, I’ve heard them tell it times untold in language plain and bold, but I am not growing old…”

The Minister of Health, Social Services, Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs hon. Marcella Liburd congratulated Mother Isaac on her milestone.

The celebration service for Mother Isaac was held at the Bethesda Moravian Church, Cayon.
