Motorists and Pedestrians Asked to Exercise Extreme Caution

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is appealing with motorists and pedestrians traveling to and from the South East Peninsula to exercise extreme caution due to reports of rockfall in the area.

In a press release issued on Thursday, NEMA also stated that given the amount of rainfall received, and still expected, due to the trough system currently passing through the area, persons are also asked to refrain from parking in waterways (ghauts).

Additionally, the St. Kitts Met Office is also appealing to the public to be vigilant; informing that drier weather is expected Friday morning.
