Music Festival line up released

ZIZ News…May 1st, 2013 — Music Festival officials have announced a packed and diverse line up of artists for this year’s event.

During a media launch at the Marriott this morning, organizers released the names of the performers to hit the stage at Warner Park.

Thursday night will feature the Small Axe Band, Kore Band, Nu Vybes Band International, Super Blue, Fay-Ann Lyons, Bunji Garlin and Grand Masters.

Friday night starts off with local acts Dejour, Dagah and Charles Emanuel before switching gears to reggae and dancehall with Tessanne Chin, Konshens, Shaggy and Beres Hammond.

Saturday night begins with steel pan performances by the Cayon Pantastics followed by New York steel pan artist Andy Narelle. His band will feature fellow steel pan musician Etienne Charles and calypsonian Relator. The night wraps up with R&B veteran Lionel Richie.

Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Richard Skerritt, encouraged more businesses to get involved with the festival as its economic impact is undeniable.

Chairman of the executive committee Faron Lawrences said over the years the festival has established itself as a strong weekend attraction during the summer.

Platinum sponsor LIME also pledged its continued support of the St. Kitts Music Festival.
