NAGICO Insurances partners with Department of Sports for zonal championship
Basseterre, St. Kitts. January 31, 2020– NAGICO Insurance Company Limited has responded to an appeal to the corporate community, from the Department of Sports, inviting the establishment to be part of the Department’s recently reintroduced Primary Schools Zonal Athletics Championships.
With NAGICO Insurance Company Limited coming onboard, the February 2 meet, at the Verchilds Playing Field, will be titled the Department of Sports Nagico Insurance Sponsored West Zone Public Primary Schools Athletics Championships 2020.
NAGICO Insurance solidified its commitment during a brief cheque handing over ceremony at the company’s Bladen Commercial Development headquarters, on January 31.
“This EC$3000 donation is part of our overall thrust to become more supportive and involved in activities, athletic and academic, that would have a long term positive impact on the federation’s youth,” Indira Dunrod Walters Human Resources/ Marketing Officer indicated.
“It is very noteworthy that NAGICO Insurance responded swiftly upon our request for assistance and the company’s generosity will enable us to address some costs incurred to host the meet,” Director of Sport Anthony Wiltshire responded, while accepting the cheque.
NAGICO Insurances has been serving St. Kitts and Nevis for over fifteen years, offering a wide variety of services including general insurance, medical insurance and life insurance.
The Department of Sports is mandated by the Ministry of Sport to engage the federation’s youth in sports, to aid in their overall development.
