National Architect Institute Launches Website

(ZIZ News) — On Monday morning, the St Kitts-Nevis Institute of Architects launched its official website as one of the events marking its 10th anniversary celebrations.

Persons can now log on to www.skniarchitects.com to find the SKNIA constitution, Registration Act, and a history of the organisation.

Visitors to the site can also learn about membership and access forms required in building.

Fonsonia O’garro-Lewis, Treasurer of the Institute, said it is important to add links to essential documents required for planning.

“Part of the website is to also assist persons, first time home owners, give them some direction as you would see in the FAQ section where we have provided some basic information; to give them some guidance: how do you choose an architect, what questions do you ask, how you go about getting planning approval, planning permission, any permits required,” she said.

In keeping with the institute’s objectives, the website is expected to advance the profession of architecture.

Other events planned to mark the anniversary include a ZIZ Round Table discussion, radio talks and a community activity day where the organization will make a donation of equipment to the Solid Waste Management Corporation.

This year’s celebrations are held under the theme “Demonstrating Our Commitment To Our Profession”.
