National Bank COVID-19 Assistance Plans

(ZIZ News) — The St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank has announced several measures to assist persons who have lost income as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the bank noted that they are suspending payments on loans and credit cards for three months for qualified persons.

The statement said the bank will also be providing emergency short term loans for qualified customers for to be repaid over 6 months to a year.

According to the statement the bank will also be waiving penalties for early withdrawals from cd’s and target savings accounts, ATM withdrawal fees, set up fees for new point of sale terminals, and half of monthly rental fees for point of sale terminals.

The bank says it recognizes the global community is facing a challenging period due to the impact of Covid-19 and these measures are in line with its responsibility as a good corporate citizen to address the economic and social consequences arising from the pandemic.
