National Group of Companies Hosts the First Ever ‘National Fair’

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (January 4, 2017) – Friday, December 15, 2017 marked a significant day for the National Bank Group of Companies. In what was the first of its kind in the Federation, the Group hosted ‘The National Fair’ which provided its customers with an upfront and personal experience of its products and services from both the Bank and National Caribbean Insurance, one of its subsidiaries. The event was held primarily to launch the Bank’s Mobile Application (MoBanking App), a free, easy, convenient and user-friendly electronic solution for conducting business using a cellular phone. The National Fair was also held in Nevis on Friday, December 22 in the Memorial Square from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Mr. Donald Thompson, Acting CEO of the Bank stated that “Today’s event is in-keeping with the Bank’s Vision, Mission and Customer Charter to provide superior products and services to our customers. I can personally attest to the ease and convenience of the Mobile Banking App and encourage all to sign up right away”. The MoBanking App, was developed in the Bank’s continuing quest to enhance its customers’ banking experience by leading in the area of technology and innovation. The functionality of the Mobile App allows customers to conduct many of the transactions available in-house such as Bill Payment, Buddy Pay and Check Account History and benefit from such features as Set up Alerts and Order Cheque Books. Access to the MoBanking App requires completion of an application form, followed by receipt of sign-in credentials and downloading the App through the Apple or Google Play Stores.

Patrons were taken to a world of imagination by Ms. Jaemou Weeks, Manager Electronic Banking, when she made her presentation at the event. “Imagine banking at the tip of your fingertips, not having to queue to transact regular business like paying bills or paying a buddy. It’s no longer ‘make believe’. With the Mobile Banking App you can do all this and more” said Ms. Weeks.

Mr. Anthony Morton, newly appointed Executive Manager, Marketing, expressed delight in spear-heading this inaugural event. “This is what our customers can expect from the National Bank Group henceforth – personalized and excellent services and value added products that make banking more convenient. The National Fair also gave us a unique opportunity to contribute to the promotion and development of our richly talented local artistes. Our customers’ banking needs and satisfaction is at the vanguard of our focus and this Fair was an example of what National has in store for 2018!”
