NEDD to hold Sensitization Workshops for Entrepreneurs and Small to Medium Sized Businesses

Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNIS) — The National Entrepreneurial Development Division (NEDD) will be hosting a series of community business meetings, starting on October 21st, to sensitize the public about the organization and the assistance available for small to medium sized businesses and entrepreneurs.

Business Development Officer Delwayne Delaney stated that these businesses are essential to the growth of St. Kitts and Nevis. As such, these meetings are a great opportunity for NEDD to help them contribute to the development of the nation.

The business development officer stated that persons with promising business ideas who need funding and skilled unemployed persons will all benefit from the meetings.

“With all the developments that have been going on within St. Kitts and Nevis, persons can be a part of it in terms of providing some sort of service or product to the larger businesses,” said Mr. Delaney.

During the meetings, there will be a number of presentations by NEDD including current business challenges and solutions and assistance for persons wishing to develop business plans.

Mr. Delaney stated that the meetings are also a great opportunity for small businesses to interact with other small businesses to share best practices and networking opportunities.

NEDD representatives will walk through the Cayon community and interact with individuals on Friday, October 16th and Tuesday, October 20th, 2015. This is a lead up to the October 21st community business meeting, which will be held at the Cayon Community Center at 6:30 p.m.

Interested persons are asked to contact Mr. Delaney at 467-1634 or 467-1203 or visit the NEDD office on the ground floor of 4Cs building, Bladen Commercial Development, Wellington Road.
