Netball Program Underway

Sports Page—Friday 26th July 2013–The annual simmer program hosted by the Sports Department is well underway. The Netball program which has attracted over twenty girls, mostly of Primary School and early Secondary School ages, will conclude today at the Grell Hull Stevens Netball Complex.

The young Netballers are being coached by Ms. Vera Herbert and Ms. Charlene Martin.

On Thursday 25th JULY, they engaged in various skills training techniques which included passing, pivoting and shooting.

They concluded the training session with a very competitive match as they pitted their newly acquired skills against each other.

They all seemed enthused and if their general attitude is anything to go by, there is hope yet for the future of Netball on the island.
