Nevis Blues Festival

(ZIZ News) — Dubbed “the Caribbean’s most exciting new festival”, the Nevis Blues Festival is set to offer three nights of music featuring artists from the UK, USA, Ireland and Netherlands.

Featured artist Denise Gordon whose parents are from Nevis, arrived on Wednesday with accompanying musicians.

Gordon, who will be performing at the festival for the second time, told ZIZ news the first experience was an emotional one and she looks forward to performing on Friday night.

“To come back and be welcomed home it was quite emotional. I felt a lot of love. Potential to have a wonderful time; great music, great people, what’s not to love?” she said.

The second annual Nevis Blues Festival offers “the very best of blues, soul, funk and blues-rock” and will also feature Ian Siegal, Kirk Fletcher, Simon Mcbride, The Rhythm Chiefs, Denny Ilett, Northsyde, and Rehabilitation Band Impression.

The festival runs from April 14th to 16th on the beach at Oualie Bay.
