Nevis International Secondary School holds first sports meet

TrackAndFeildFilePhotoCSports Page — It was the first time since the Nevis International Secondary School was established that they were holding a Sports meet.

The meet was held at the ET Willet Park on Friday 13th March, watched closely by Junior Minister of Sports, Hon. Hazel Brandy Williams and Asst. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Development, Miss D Michelle Liburd, among many other spectators.

Well known Track and field coordinator, Mr. Timothy Caines, guided the process, ably assisted by some of the sports officers from the Department of Sports.

The athletes competed in the 100; 200; 400; 800 and 1200 meters and also engaged in some fun events which included the bun eating contest; the balloon toss and the very exciting hand wrestling.
