Sports Page — The Nevis Amateur Basketball Association (NABA) will be hosting a major tournament this weekend.
Starting on Friday 27th February, four teams will be on show to excite the Basketball fans on Nevis, up until Sunday 1st March.
The competing teams are: BVI; a Nevis select team; local champions CG Rebels and a St.Kitts team.
Long serving president of NABA, Miss Wanda Parry noted that the event is being sponsored mainly by the Nevis Island Administration through its Sports Department and the Nevis Amateur Basketball Association.
She noted that a small fee of $5.00 per night will be charged, as the big event will be used as a fund raiser for the local association.
The full schedule of matches is as follows:
Friday 27th February—BVI v Nevis select team
Saturday 28th —Game one: CG Rebels v Nevis Select team
Game two: St.Kitts v BVI
Sunday 1st March—Game one: Nevis select team v St.Kitts
Game two: BVI v CG Rebels
Miss Parry is inviting the members of the general public to come out in their numbers to watch the exciting action first hand.
