Sports Page — Two more matches were played over the last weekend in the Leeward Islands under 15 tournaments.
This time around, the Nevis team travelled to St.Kitts.
As is the arrangement for the tournament, St.Kitts and Nevis would play four matches, two in each island and similar arrangements were made for matches between Antigua and Montserrat and Anguilla and St.Maarten, respectively.
In match one, St.Kitts under 15’s scored 139 all out in 40 overs. Tariq Newman top scored with 37 and Javal Ward scored 14.
For the Nevis under 15’s, the main bowlers were: Carlon Tuckett who had the amazing figures of 3.2 overs; 2 maidens; 4 wickets for 2 runs.
Zario Chumney had 3 for 26 and Erleon David 2 for 29.
Nevis under 15’s in response scored 142 all out in 35.3 overs. Adiel Chowtipersad scored 35 and Vikram Chanand got 32.
In match two: St.Kitts under 15’s scored 156 for 5 in 32 overs: T. Newton 38*; S. Pemberton 17.
For the Nevis under 15’s, Zario Chumney got 3 wickets for 30 runs.
Nevis in response, 158 for 6 in 27.2 overs: Sharma 30*; Carlon Tuckett 19; Anderson 19 and Chanand 9*.
Nevis won by 4 wickets.
