Nevis Under 17’s complete clean sweep
(Sports Page)– The Nevis under 17 team completed a clean sweep of the exchanges versus their Kittitian counterparts on Sunday 22nd June.
The final of the four trial matches which will serve to select players to the Leeward Islands under 17 squad, was played at the ET Willet Park.
Having won the third game on Saturday at the same venue, the Nevis team won the toss and elected to bat first.
Ross Powell batted impressively before he was bowled behind his back but Philo Wallace and the in form Sheldon Forbes, teamed up in an exciting partnership, which saw both players timing the ball sweetly and playing shots all around the Park.
Forbes went on to secure his half century and Wallace fell just short.

The St.Kitts team threatened briefly to overhaul the total, as long as Pennyfeather and Louis were together but once they were parted, their batting generally struggled.
