Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 23rd, 2020 (ZIZ News): While the Covid-19 pandemic has forced many events to be cancelled this year The Nevis Tourism Authority has taken a new approach to its Annual Mango Festival by going virtual.
The festival began with a social media launch on Monday and according to ceo of the Nevis tourism Authority Jadine Yarde they’ve had to restructure the planned activities.
A highlight of the mango festival is the Mango Tasting Event set for Friday July 3. However Miss Yarde says this year it will be more about promoting the more than forty types of mangos that grow on Nevis.
Miss Yarde said another highlight of the festival will be the live Mango-Fest Cook Off on Saturday.
The weekend will wrap up with a virtual master class by Iron Chef Judy Joo where she will teach how to make mango tiramisu.
