ZIZ News — Wayne Ferlance, a resident of Mount Lily, Nevis is the country’s 15th homicide victim of 2015.
ZIZ News confirmed that Ferlance, who is reported to be in his late thirties, was killed at his home in the wee hours of Monday morning.
According to Public Relations Officer for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Lyndon David, a number of armed assailants entered Ferlance’s house where they opened fire on him.
Inspector David also confirmed that a child and a female were present in the house at the time of the shooting.
Ferlance’s death comes just days after top Police Officials gathered at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort for the Annual Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police Conference and Annual General Meeting.
It was during this meeting and conference that the Region’s Police Officials shared ideas on how to reduce and solve crime within their jurisdictions.
