New vessel M.V Game Changer officially launched

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 19, 2019 (ZIZ News): A new vessel will now be serving the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and visitors alike seeking what is being described as a luxury tour on the waters.

The M.V Game Changer has been officially launched following a brief ceremony and inaugural cruise at the Port Zante Marina on Thursday afternoon.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Carlene Henry Morton spoke on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Lindsay Grant.

She said the ministry is always pleased to see citizens adding to the tourism product.

Mrs. Henry Morton also shared words of advice with the crew members of the M.V Game Changer, advising them to give the job their best.

Director of Yachting, Mr. Aeneas Hollins said entrepreneurs such as Captain Derick Williams help to expose visitors to the beauty of the island and enhance the tourism product.

Coastal View Charters Captain Derick “Ricky” Williams shed tears of joy and stood with a sense of pride before delivering brief remarks. He then used the opportunity to express gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and all persons who assisted and supported his business ventures.

The MV Game Changer measures 31 feet in length and seats approximately 70 passengers.

Archdeacon Isiah Phillip blessed and anointed the vessel.

At the end of the ceremony guests were given the opportunity to tour the vessel and experience the features provided through an inaugural cruise.
