Newton Ground Primary Test of Standards achievers rewarded by PM Douglas

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JULY 27TH 2011 – Twin sisters 12-year-olds Dottica and Dotisha Taylor are headed for the Charles E. Mills after outstanding performance in the Test of Standard at the Newton Ground Primary School.

Dottica edged out her sister Dotisha by one point to be named the school’s Valedictorian and Most Outstanding Girl for the Grade VI Class of 2011. Her sister, Dottisha is the Salutorian.

While Dottica is top girl, 11-year old Bijorne Fleming, also from Newton Ground, is Most Outstanding Boy.

All three visited their Parliamentary Representative, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, at his office where each was presented with a certificates and a monetary contribution for their achievements.

In making the presentation, Dr. Douglas congratulated them on their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue to excel.

The top students from other schools – St. Paul’s Primary, Dieppe Bay Primary and Saddlers Primary – in the Prime Minister’s constituency, are expected to be rewarded for their outstanding performance.
