NHC to launch Land and Mortgages Refinancing and Incentive Programme
Basseterre, St. Kitts, (CUOPM) — Details of the National Housing Corporation (NHC’s), Land and Mortgages Refinancing and Incentive Programme will be launched on Wednesday of this week.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, the Hon. Dr. Earl Asim Martin unveiled a new mortgage repayment plan to further assist nationals with their land and house loans with the National Housing Corporation (NHC) last Monday.
While the details are to be released formally and officially by the NHC, the mortgage repayment plan seeks to reduce or eliminate accumulated arrears and, in some cases, reduce mortgage rates.
These efforts are geared towards building on the successes we have had in recent years in raising the standard of living of ordinary people in our country by promoting land and home ownership while reducing to a minimum the cost of such ownership.
General Manager of the NHC, Ms. Judith Rawlins said on the weekend that the Land and Mortgages Refinancing and Incentive Programme will be launched on Wednesday 15thJanuary 2014 during a press conference at the FND Enterprise Cooperative Credit Union Conference Room.
