Nicha B Not Advancing to Finals, Working on being a better Artiste

(ZIZ News) – Local soca sensation, Nicha Byron, alias Nicha B., is using his recent participation in the International Soca Monarch Semi-finals as motivation to be a better artiste.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Sugar Mas 44 Groovy Soca and Super Soca Monarch did not advance to the final round of the competition which was held on Sunday and Monday.

Taking to the social networking site, Facebook, Nicha B. made the announcement stating “Well the results are in….we didn’t make the finals. Am very sorry. …but is always room for nex year, bigger and better planning….We did great ….Thanks for the love and support…Continue because the road ain’t over…”

During a telephone interview with Freedom FM’s Sugarbowl, Nicha B. said the experience was one to remember stating, “ I never expected so much people to recognize me and the music. The whole experience, being here and putting st. Kitts on the map is just crazy…”

Nicha B. also thanked his fans stating, “We are doing this together. It’s not just me, it’s all of us in St. Kitts because if the DJs never pushed the song and all of that it wouldn’t have been possible. I really appreciate it and thank god for the opportunity and everything.”

Nicha B. was the second Kittitian soca artiste to perform at the International Soca Monarch Semi-finals in Trinidad. Konris “King Konris” Maynard was the first.
