No foul play observed on body found in Soho

ZIZ News…Oct 14, 2012 — Police officials say no foul play is suspected in the death of a young man.

According to a police release, at about 10:18 pm on Thursday 11th October 2012, officers of Criminal Investigation Department, Crime Scene Unit, and Special Service Unit responded to a report of a body found at Soho, Basseterre.

Initial investigation revealed that a passer-by found the body lying on the main road at Soho Village, Basseterre in the vicinity of Gary’s Fruit & Flower Shop.

The District Medical Officer was informed and on arrival on the scene, he pronounced the person dead. The body found was identified by a next of kin as twenty-four years old, Nester Hazel of Shadwell Housing.

On Friday 12 October 2012, during the morning the resident Pathologist performed an autopsy on the body which revealed that death was caused by Bilateral Bronchopneumonia. There were no signs of foul play observed on the body.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the family.
