One Firearm Seized During Police Operation on Southeast Peninsula

(ZIZ News) – Acting Commissioner of Police, Stafford Liburd is pleased with the ongoing work of his officers in removing illegal firearms and ammunition from the streets of Bassettere and Charlestown.

Director of Public Information Grell Browne is reporting that on Tuesday, members of the Special Services Unit arrested three persons during an operation on the Southeast Peninsula and netted one illegal firearm with matching ammunition.

That release reads, “At approximately 1:25 p.m, a vehicle PA-4952, owned and driven by Ivette Richards of Irish Town, was stopped and searched.”

It continues, “Two other persons were in the vehicle: Terrence Ritchen alias “JT”, formerly of Newtown but who resides in Jessups Village, Nevis; and Eric Thompson alias “Jun-Jun” of Ponds Pasture.”

ZIZ News understands that all three persons have been arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
