ZIZ News…Feb. 4, 2013 — Operation Future is pleased to announce that P.C. Lauston Percival, founder and President of Operation Future and Dan MacMullin have been asked by the CARICOM Secretariat to facilitate a four day conference “Implementation of Prevention Strategies and Actions to address Youth Gangs and Violence” in Guyana February 5th to 8th.

The goal of the conference is to review programs developed by Operation Future and create strategies where these programs could be adapted and introduced into Guyana.

Operation Future intends on sharing its entire program however paying particular attention to our secondary school intervention program “Back Against the Wall”, our primary school intervention program “Discovery Club”, our work with Her Majesty’s Prison, community awareness programs and our most recent project “The Creative Youth Academy.”

We are proud that our work in developing sustainable and innovative preventative programs is gaining regional and international attention. We are also pleased that we are able to represent St Kitts & Nevis as being a proactive nation in addressing the issues of youth, crime and violence.

Further, we view opportunities such as this as an opportunity to share our experience as well as learn from the experience and expertise of others. All of which will ultimately benefit our youth here in St Kitts & Nevis.
