PAM candidate for constituency #2 encouraging families to stay united during political season
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 3, 2020 (ZIZ News): People’s Action Movement (PAM) Candidate for Constituency #2, Jonel Powell is encouraging families to stick together despite their different political views.
He shared this message of unity during an address to the nation on Tuesday June 3.
“For families across our country who today are allowing themselves to be divided at election time, I urge you not to do so. Family is more important than your politics. I ask that you would work hard to unite and not divide”, the PAM candidate stated.
Powell also used the opportunity to encourage young persons to consider a career in politics to make a positive impact on the lives of the people in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“I want to encourage young people especially females to get involved, make your contribution and help to change the tone of the political debate. Be positive and strive to make lives better, not tear them apart for short term political gain”, he expressed.
Powell said “despite the missteps of others” he would rather not see other young persons turned off by politics.
The PAM Candidate for Constituency #2 will be contesting a seat in the National Assembly on Friday June 5 2020.
