Parish League to Commence Shortly

SPORTS PAGE—Monday 24th June 2013–A recent release from the Nevis Netball Association has indicated that the annual Parish league will commence shortly. As a matter of fact, the deadline for registration of teams, is today Monday 24th June.

Registration can be done with any member of the Association which includes: President: Vera Herbert, Secretary: Tricia Williams, Treasurer: Sasha Liburd, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer: Hazel Manners-David, IMP Paulette Bartlette, Floor Members: Latoya Bussue, Jasmine Charles and Lydia Claxton

All Male teams and all Female teams are asked to register.

Parishes can have more than one team in the league.

Teams are asked to register 12 members with no more than two members from outside the parish.

Registration is $20.

The tentative date for the beginning of the league is Saturday 29th June, 2013 with a Knock-Out Competition at the Cicely Grell-Hull Dora Stevens Nevis Netball Complex.

Games would be played according to IFNA rules.

Days for matches will be Tuesday, Saturday and *Sunday at 6pm at the different courts.

1 game would be played on Tuesdays and 2 games on Saturdays.

*Sundays would be added to the fixture depending on the number of teams registered.

Parish Teams would be responsible for the scorers, time keepers, tables, chairs and the maintenance and preparation of the Parish courts.
