Parks and Beaches Week of Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 16, 2019 (ZIZ News): The Parks and Beaches Unit will be hosting a week of activities this week.

During a brief interview with ZIZ, Coordinator for Parks and Beaches Unit, Eardley Nisbett explained why the Unit decided to host the week of activities, noting that it will give members of the public an opportunity to learn more about the Unit’s duties while giving staff their rightful recognition.

Nisbett said many persons are not aware of the many tasks that the Parks and Beaches Unit undertake on a daily basis. He said one such task is done in the form of preserving historical sites.

The scheduled activities include a Media Day on Tuesday with visits to schools,  A weed eater competition at White Gate on Wednesday, an Island wide Motorcade on Friday and a Beachnic at Frigate Bay on Sunday.

The Parks and Beaches week of activities are being observed under the theme, “It’s All About Parks and Beaches’.
