The Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society announces the passing of one of its earliest and most faithful members, Mr. Campbell Evelyn.

Mr. Evelyn, who served in the British Army during the Second World War, was also a member of the St. Kitts-Nevis Legion. “Campbell” as we all affectionately knew him, curated many wartime photographs and other artifacts belonging to his sister Helen Skerritt and himself and generously donated these to the Society.

These items were the inspiration behind the new “Calling to Arms” permanent exhibit in the Campbell Evelyn and Helen Skerritt Exhibit Room which was opened in September this year as part of our Federation’s Independence Celebrations.

The Brimstone Hill Society wishes to express its condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Campbell Evelyn who has departed us to join his fellow veterans in heaven’s poppy fields.
