Peru Bids To Host Games

ZIZ News …July 10 2013 — St. Kitts has heard bids for a second candidate to host the 2019 Pan American Games.

President of the Peru Olympic Committee Jose Quinones was here to present Peru’s bid at The Marriott Resort on Tuesday evening.

He told members of The National Olympic Committee that Peru is not looking for glory or fame but hosting the Pan American Games would be a boost for the entire continent.

St. Kitts Nevis and 41 other NOC’s and countries comprise The Pan American Sports Organization that would vote to determine which country hosts the 2019 Pan American Games.

The vote to pick the winner will be taken at the next general assembly of The Pan American Sports Organization in October in Toronto.
