Peters maiden ton helps Leewards rally

OrlandoPeters-1St George’s, Grenada, CMC — Orlando Peters carved out his maiden first class hundred and Liam Sebastien, his first ever ten-wicket haul, as Leeward Islands Hurricanes put up an admirable fight on day three of their third round WICB Professional Cricket League clash on Sunday.

Resuming from their overnight 102 for one, the Leewards kept Windward Islands Volcanoes in the field all day at the National Stadium here, before being dismissed late in the day for 334.

Peters was at the centre of the Leewards fight back, scoring 104 and anchoring two half-century stands along the way, before becoming the final victim of the innings and off-spinner Sebastien’s fifth.
