Photo update: Police investigating another homicide

ZIZ News…March 27, 2013 — Another young man from Cayon met his death last night after he was shot by an unknown assailant.

According to a police release, on Tuesday at about 9:26 pm Cayon Police responded to a shooting incident where Miguel Byron 32yrs of Back Street was found lying on the side of the road with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his body.

The release further stated that Byron was pronounced dead by the medical examiner and next of kin was notified.

Anyone who may have information pertaining to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do not have to give your name, address or telephone number, and you may be eligible to receive a reward.

Meanwhile, Darren Hendrickson of Harbour View, Bird Rock was formally charged for the offence of Attempted Murder which was committed on 23 March 2013. Darren Hendrickson allegedly shot Wayne Jeffrey on the right side of his face during an altercation on the premises of Builder’s Paradise.

Craig Mills of King Street was formally charged for the offences of Driving without Insurance, Driving without Due Care and Attention, and Driving without a Valid or Unexpired Driver’s Licence which were committed on 23 March 2013 at Lime Kiln.
