“To commemorate this 5 year milestone in Nevis and 4 years in St. Kitts, Pink Lily is inviting sponsors past and new and the community as a whole to join hands and walk with us as we continue the fight to prevent cancer, promote early detection, support those who have been affected by cancer and saves more lives in St. Kitts & Nevis,” Tracy Parris said.

She said those who participate in the annual walkathon will be acknowledging the seriousness of cancer in St. Kitts & Nevis and the need and value of the services provided by Pink Lily in the community. “We need funds to open a Pink Lily Awareness & Support Centre and employ full time staff in Nevis,” Tracy Parris further said.

Tracy Parris who is also the clients support Coordinator said: “For the last 5 years, Pink Lily has tirelessly raised awareness of cancer, supported and made appeals on behalf of sufferers in their time of need and raised funds and provided screening and counselling services to over 200 women and provided financial assistance for treatments and care. As volunteers we have continued demonstrating our commitment and dedication to providing quality cancer care in St. Kitts & Nevis.

“We need the help and continued support of the community by way of sponsorship, donations, funding and participation to build and develop the organisation in order to enhance our services, educate, support and care for more people and families.

“Cancer can affect anyone regardless of gender, age, culture, racial origin, religion or income. Cancer does not discriminate. It can affect us at any time without warning,” Tracy Parris noted.
