PJ’s up one in best of three finals

Sports Page—Monday 9th September 2013–Against all odds and in front of a partisan crowd, mainly supporting the Cayon Lions, the PJ’S team of Nevis dominated the first match of the best of three A division finals hosted by the St.Kitts-Nevis Basketball Association.

The half time score of the very intense game played on Thursday 5th September showed PJ’S trailing by a mere one point with the score line showing 27 to 26, in favour of the Lions.

However, the PJ”S played with great skill and determination in the second half and when the final whistle was blown, the final score was 67 to 60 in favour of the Cherry Garden based team.

PJ’s now leads the series 1 – 0 over the Cayon Lions and would be aiming to clinch match two, to avoid a third game.
