Plans For Digital Transformation

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 11th,  2020 (ZIZ News) The government has begun taking steps towards the digital transformation of its systems with the buildout of an IT strategy.

Minister responsible for information and communication technology the Hon. Akilah Byron Nisbett told ZIZ that beginning this week the government will be assessing the IT needs of various departments.

She said this digital transformation will be very beneficial for the public as it is expected to make government departments more efficient.

She said with the move towards storing information digitally the government is also stepping up its cyber-security.
