Plastic Free Cayon High School

The Cayon High School is going green.

Keeping with the theme of plastic free CHS, the school has undertaken the initiative to use less plastic on campus.

Coordinator of the CHS Environmental Club Dr. Joyelle Clarke told ZIZ that the school has been sponsored by the GEF Small Grants Programme to assist with the initiative.

Dr. Clarke said that the students have received training to better equip them to carry out the project.

Kareem Storrod of the CHS Environmental Club showed us some of the useful things that recycled plastic bottles can make.

The Cayon High School hosted its 2018 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fair on September 28th where the CHS Environmental Club gave several demonstrations on going green.
