(ZIZ)– Prime Minister, The Right Hon Dr. Denzil Douglas took time out his busy schedule on Monday to join the Culturama celebrations on Nevis.
The occasion was the Culturama 40 J’ouvert Morning Jam which took place around Charlestown.
Upon arrival in Nevis via the Sea Bridge, Prime Minister Douglas was warmly welcomed on the sister isle by hundreds of J’ouvert revellers and onlookers.
During his visit to Nevis, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner of Police responsible for the Nevis division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police, Robert Liburd.
Prime Minister Douglas also met with leader of the Nevis Reformation Party, Joseph Parry and former Nevisian minister, Hensley Daniel.
Dozens of revellers and supporters used the opportunity to mingle with and take pictures with the Prime Minister.
