PM Douglas invites Atlantis official to invest in St. Kitts and Nevis

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, DECEMBER 17TH 2012 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has invited a top official who owns the Atlantis Hotels in The Bahamas and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates to pursue a high-end boutique resort in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Prime Minister Douglas issued the invitation to Chief Executive Officer of Kerzner International Management, Mr. Alan Leibman in a meeting at The Atlantis in Dubai during his recent visit.

Dr. Douglas suggested that the resort could be built either on Nevis or St. Kitts.

Mr. Leibman has accepted the invitation to visit and has expressed an interest in pursuing the development of a 126-room high-end boutique hotel.

During his talks with Prime Minister Douglas, Mr. Leibman commented on the quality of service at the Four Seasons in Nevis.

An agent of the company is to visit St. Kitts and Nevis this week to explore possibilities.
