PM Douglas visits Stapleton Police Station, praises officers

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has praised the officers at the Stapleton Police Station for their contribution to the stability of the twin-island Federation.

Dr. Douglas, accompanied by Minister of Education and Agriculture, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty and the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Representative for the area, Dr. Terrance Drew stopped at the station on their way to meet with a local furniture maker and farmers.

Prime Minister Douglas expressed thanks and appreciation to the officers for their dedication and professionalism which have resulted in a significant decrease in crime in the area of St. Peter’s and Stapleton and other areas under their policing.

Dr. Douglas urged them to continue to do the good job that they are doing.

No. 370 Cpl. Pemberton in response thanked the Prime Minister and his team for the visit, and assured him that the officers will continue working with the community in keeping the crime down.
