PM Douglas welcomes National Bank’s EC$25.2 million pre-tax profit

DenzilDouglas-19Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has welcomed news that the St. Kitts and Nevis National Bank is reporting after-tax profits of EC$25.2 million for the year ending June 1014.

“We have also just learned that deposits are up some 21% over last year, and have climbed to some $2.5 billion. In light of this, National Bank directors are recommending a 10% dividend which, if approved, will result in some $13.5 million being paid out men and women across the country and throughout the diaspora,” said Prime Minister Douglas during his radio programme “Ask the Prime Minister.”

“Wonderful news, indeed,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
