PM Featured In ArabNews

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 20, 2020 (ZIZ News): Prime Minister Dr. The Hon. Timothy Harris has been featured in an article on Arabnews.com about the federations links with the Middle East.

The article is entitled: “Exclusive: St. Kitts and Nevis PM aims to cement ties with the Middle East”.

According to the article “Prime Minister Timothy Harris noted with satisfaction that his country was home to a number of individuals from the Middle East, including the GCC countries. But his ambitions are clearly much bigger than that.”

The article quoted the prime minister as saying “We intend to open an embassy soon in the UAE. This will further cement our ties to the Middle East region and to the UAE specifically.”

The article also called the discount on the citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis a “silver lining” amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Harris announced a temporary reduction in the contribution to secure citizenship for a family. The reduced amount is $150,000 US Dollars.

The article also noted the Federation’s response to the coronavirus pandemic pointing out that all of the cases had recovered and there were no deaths.
