PM Harris extends condolences to families who lost nationals of SKN to COVID-19 overseas

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 8, 2020 (ZIZ News): Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris extends his heartfelt condolences, and those of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis to the families of those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19 overseas.

Prime Minister Harris was at the time delivering an address to the nation on Thursday night.

“We note with sadness and regret that several of our nationals overseas have died as a consequence of COVID-19. We extend our sincere condolences to all their loved ones at home and abroad now in grief and distress.  We invoke God’s protection and mercy on our people and this, our beloved Federation”, Dr. Harris expressed.

The Prime Minister also stated that his administration is “mindful of the hotspots in the United States of America and the United Kingdom”.  He said “we mourn the loss of lives there and everywhere”.

Prime Minister Harris said although we are living through an extremely trying experience, his Government is committed to keeping all of our citizens and residents safe.

ZIZ understands that Wendell Ruffa Warner and Valentine Lisimba Parry passed in April.

It was also reported that Adlin Thompson, Kevin “Ban” Farrell, Gregory James, Georgina Hart and Vincent “Ratty” Williams, all of whom were residents of New York fell victim to the deadly Novel Coronavirus.
