(ZIZ News) — The governments of St. Kitts-Nevis and Venezuela, on Sunday, strengthened ties as a visiting delegation paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris.
The group was led by Venezuela’s Minister of External Relations Delcy Rodriguez Gomez.
Dr. Harris and the Venezuelan contingent met at the Marriott Resort to discuss bilateral agreements including the Petro Caribe Agreement and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples Of Our America, or ALBA.
St. Kitts-Nevis joined ALBA in December.
The Venezuelan group agreed to meet with the Federal Government very shortly to further discuss the way forward.
Members of the delegation also attended the swearing ceremony of the new government at Warner Park on Sunday afternoon.
