Police are investigating a female body found at Cockleshell Bay

ZIZ News—2nd September, 2013–Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to a woman apparently drowning at Cockleshell Bay.

According to Police Public Relations Officer inspector Lyndon David, just before 6:00pm a body was found floating offshore at Cockleshell Bay.

According to reports a swimmer pulled the body in. The medical officer pronounced her dead on the scene.

The police say they cannot release the identity of person until her next of kin has been notified

Not much information is available about why she was there or what led up to her death but investigations are ongoing.
