Police arrest three for recent murders

Basseterre, St. Kitts (Wednesday, 13th April, 2011) — On Wednesday 13th April 2011 police detectives at the Criminal Investigations Department by means of warrants in the first instance, formally arrested and charged two (2) young men jointly for the murder of Laustin Jamie Williams of Bay View, West Basseterre, which was committed on Wednesday 6th April 2011 at Buckley’s Estate. The accused persons are as follows:

• 19 years old Jahari “Baddie” Bart of St. Johnson Village

• 22 years old Kelroy “C Face” Hazel of St. Johnson Village

For the murder of Bijorn Richardson which was committed on Monday 4th April 2011 at Dorset Park, police at the Criminal Investigations Department, by means of a warrant in the first instance formally arrested and charged 25 years old Kevis “Yellow” Riley of George Street, Newtown.

All three accused person were remanded in custody at HM Prison. Investigations into these matters are still ongoing.
