Police concerned about robberies and breakings

ZIZ News…May 30 2012 — The Press and Public Relations Officer of the Police Force say his agency is very much concerned about house breakings and robberies. He was speaking against the backdrop of recent incidents in St. Kitts and Nevis.

In a Press Release issued on Wednesday May 30, 2012, SGT. Stephen Hector said Ike Dias of Boyds Village was arrested on the 29th May and charged for the Robbery of one Paul Sutton which occurred on the 26th May 2012.

Hector said the incidents of robberies and house breakings currently ongoing within the Federation are of concern to the Police and urged the general public to become acquainted with the various crime tips which have been published with various media houses for continuous publication.

Meanwhile the release also stated that the Special Services Unit on the 28th May 2012 located and destroyed a total of 143 Marijuana Plants ranging from 1ft to 5 feet in height as well as 100 seedlings all found in a cane field in the Buckley’s Area.

Investigations surrounding this find are ongoing.
