Police investigate multiple shooting incidents
(ZIZ News) — The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating a shooting incident in Basseterre that resulted in the death of 32 year old Khoy Jeffers of New Road Housing Project.
According to a police statement the shooting occurred at around 6:45 am on Thursday.
The police say the victim was shot near Upper College Street by an unknown assailant.
The victim was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he later died.
Investigators from the violent crimes unit and the criminal investigations department and technicians from the forensics services unit have canvassed the scene for evidence.
Meanwhile, the Violent Crimes Unit is also investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Stone Fort Heights on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred at around 6:45 pm.
According to the police the victim was shot several times by an unknown assailant(s).
He was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
