Police investigating apparent domestic violence incidence

ZIZ News…Dec 14, 2012 — Police are investigating a possible domestic violence incident that may have lead to the death of a resident of Whyte’s Mountain in Cayon.
The victim’s spouse was taken into custody and is assisting the police with the investigation.
According to a police release, the victim’s name will be released to the public pending notice of the next of kin and the public will be updated once the autopsy reveals the cause of death.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force wishes to extend condolences to the family of the victim and to remind everyone that there is no excuse for domestic violence.
The Special Victims Unit (SVU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force stands by to investigate any claim of crimes against children and domestic violence.
